What we build

Machine Room Guarding designs and fabricates barrier guarding to fit the equipment in front of you, on the plant floor and in the machine room. We work from survey dimensions, produce engineering drawings, and build in our own shop. There is no catalog to force your equipment into.

Component Guarding (CG Series)

Barrier guarding for individual machines and drive components: motors, brakes, sheaves, governors, and the rest of the rotating equipment the code requires guarded. The machine-room workhorse.

Car Top Rails (Models TOC-F and TOC-C)

Fall protection for the top of elevator cars. Fixed rails for cars with the overhead to take them, and collapsible rails with position-monitoring safety switches for existing cars where a fixed railing cannot fit.

How we work

Guarding from a catalog fits the catalog. Guarding from this shop fits your equipment. Every project runs through the same four steps:
  1. Survey. We work from field dimensions of the actual equipment and the space around it.
  2. Engineering. Each job gets its own drawings. A letter of conformity is available on request.
  3. Manufacturing. Fabrication happens in our own shop, under our own control.
  4. Delivery. Guarding ships ready for installation. Installation services are available depending on project scope and location.

Built around the codes your inspector reads

Guarding only counts if it satisfies the authority having jurisdiction. Our work is designed against the standards that govern it: OSHA 29 CFR 1910.212 and ANSI B11.19 for machine guarding in the United States, CSA Z432 in Canada, and ASME A17.1/CSA B44 where the elevator code applies. Responsibility for risk assessment stays with the customer or contractor. We build to what the assessment and the survey call for.

Who we serve

Our guarding is installed by machine builders, integrators, and plant maintenance teams on the industrial side, and by major elevator OEMs and independent elevator contractors across the United States and Canada. Much of it ships to job sites we never see, built from the survey dimensions the millwright or mechanic sends us.
